X-Men Apocalypse

This X-Men trailer is astonishing if you speak the language of Gnosticism. In fact you could use this trailer as a modern adaption to teach about the Serpent figure in the Garden of Eden story of Genesis 3 and the parallel stories in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14. In these 3 passages the being undermines the plan of Yahweh concerning humanity and proclaims that he will rule ABOVE Yahweh in Isaiah 14. Eventually the plan of this Serpent figure manifests as a "world order" at Babel (Genesis 11) under the first hybrid (mutant) ruler after the Great Flood. The movie trailer depicts this ANCIENT storyline and its Gnostic overtone perfectly. In the film the villain is named En Sabah Nur or Apocalypse. He point blank calls himself Yahweh. His name is also THE Eternal ONE; another title reserved for Yahweh- These are analogous to Isaiah 14's figure replacing Yahweh in title. In Gnosticism Yahweh is called the Blind One. Apocalypse says in the trailer that the world has been ruled by BLIND leadership and that it needs to be remade- by Him. This was the motive for the Serpent figure's actions in Eden- to undermine the plan of Yahweh. The trailer also hints at Apocalypse as being the first Hybrid (mutant) like Nimrod. Nimrod was in direct conflict with Yahweh and His plan for humanity. This trailer is "Watcher Theology" for all to see- an age old story on a living screen- more alive than ever.
